• Job Title: Locum Tenens Hospitalist Physician
• Location: Anchorage, AK 99508 (Alaska hospitalist jobs)
• Assignment Length: 12 weeks, with potential for ongoing locum tenens coverage
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shifts: 12-hour rotating shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a, or 6a-6p/6p-6a)
• Patient Census: 18-22 patients per shift
• EMR System: EPIC
• Setting: Closed ICU (no procedures required; intensivist on site)

Hospitalist Physician Qualifications

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (hospitalist physician)
• Active Alaska medical license preferred (Alaska physician jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent hospitalist experience required
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotating 7-on/7-off schedules (2 weeks per month preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting

Hospitalist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inpatient care as a hospitalist physician in Anchorage, Alaska
• Manage a patient census of 18-22 per shift in a closed ICU environment (no procedures required)
• Collaborate with intensivists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and care coordination
• Participate in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, with flexibility for 7-on/7-off scheduling
