Job Title: Perm - Physician - Hospitalist

Join a dedicated Hospitalist team at a well-established facility in Syracuse, New York, where you will provide high-quality inpatient care within a supportive, physician-led environment. Our organization is committed to delivering mission-driven healthcare with comprehensive support from specialty fields. As a nocturnist, you will be integral in ensuring exceptional patient outcomes during overnight shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide overnight inpatient care (7 PM – 7 AM schedule) at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
  • Work a 7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts.
  • Perform admissions and manage hospitalized patients overnight.
  • Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations.
  • Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR.
  • Provide closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Coordinate appropriate follow-up care arrangements upon discharge.
  • Deliver patient-centered, high-quality inpatient care.
  • Participate as part of a respected, collegial Hospitalist team.
  • Utilize strong clinical judgment and communication skills in acute care settings.
  • Experience is REQUIRED; fresh graduates will not be accepted.
  • Not accepting locum candidates or visa sponsorship.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Clean malpractice and license history.
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).

License and Certification Requirements:

  • New York Medical License or willingness to obtain.
  • DEA certification.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
