Job Title: Perm - Physician - Hospitalist
Join a dedicated Hospitalist team at a well-established facility in Syracuse, New York, where you will provide high-quality inpatient care within a supportive, physician-led environment. As a nocturnist, you will be integral in ensuring exceptional patient outcomes during overnight shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide overnight inpatient care (7 PM – 7 AM schedule) at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
- Work a 7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts.
- Perform admissions and manage hospitalized patients overnight.
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations.
- Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR.
- Provide closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinate appropriate follow-up care arrangements upon discharge.
- Deliver patient-centered, high-quality inpatient care.
- Participate as part of a respected, collegial Hospitalist team.
- Utilize strong clinical judgment and communication skills in acute care settings.
- Experience is REQUIRED; fresh graduates will not be accepted.
- Not accepting locum candidates or visa sponsorship.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Clean malpractice and license history.
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
License and Certification Requirements:
- New York Medical License or willingness to obtain.
- DEA certification.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
