Exceptional opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a thriving inpatient GI hospitalist program in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This permanent Gastroenterology position offers a highly desirable 7 on / 7 off schedule (22 weeks per year), providing outstanding work-life balance while focusing exclusively on consultative inpatient GI care. Work alongside dedicated inpatient APP support in a collaborative hospital environment delivering comprehensive digestive health services. Job Responsibilities
• Manage all unassigned GI patients and hospital-based consults
• Deliver high-quality general GI care in an acute care setting
• Collaborate with two full-time inpatient APPs
• Participate in structured 7 on / 7 off coverage model
• Ensure timely documentation and care coordination
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Active Georgia medical license or eligibility to obtain
• Active DEA prior to start
• Clean malpractice history preferred
• Open to new graduates (through 2025)
• Not accepting visa candidates
Working Hours
Inpatient consult service: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Night call covered by existing GI team
