We are seeking a Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician in Davenport, Iowa for a travel OB/GYN assignment providing 24-hour in-house hospital coverage. This locum tenens OB/GYN hospitalist job in Iowa focuses on labor and delivery, obstetric triage, ER consults, and inpatient OB/GYN care. The position offers flexible 12-hour or 24-hour call shifts, strong clinical support, and a high-volume delivery environment. Job Responsibilities
• Triage and manage obstetric patients presenting to the emergency department
• Perform vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Manage high-risk and low-risk pregnancies
• Respond to inpatient OB/GYN consultations
• Round on postpartum and antepartum patients
• Perform obstetric procedures including fetal monitoring and ultrasounds
• Manage gynecologic surgical cases as required
• Collaborate with CNMs, nursing staff, anesthesia, and residents
• Document care accurately using Cerner EMR
Qualifications
• Active Iowa medical license or active IMLC
• Fellowship or residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Fetal monitoring certification
• Ability to manage high-risk obstetrics and surgical gynecology
• Clean malpractice and background history
• NPDB Self-Query report (recent)
• Availability for weekday coverage (Mon–Fri minimum)
Working Hours
• Weekday coverage required; weekends welcomed
• No consecutive weekday 24-hour shifts
• Call ratio approximately 1:5
• Assignment-based locum schedule
