Job description
Vibra Hospital of Boise is seeking a Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) to provide inpatient medical management for medically complex, high-acuity patients in a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting. The Hospitalist will lead and coordinate care for patients requiring extended hospitalization, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize clinical outcomes.
This role is ideal for physicians experienced in managing chronic critical illness, respiratory failure, infectious disease complications, and post-ICU recovery.
Job Responsibilities
Admit, evaluate, treat, and discharge patients with complex medical conditions
Manage chronic critical illness, including ventilator-dependent and post-ICU patients
Collaborate with pulmonology, infectious disease, wound care, and rehabilitation services
Coordinate care with nursing, case management, therapy, and pharmacy teams
Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning
Document accurately and timely in the hospital’s EMR
Support quality improvement, patient safety, and compliance initiatives
Communicate effectively with referring hospitals, specialists, and families
Patient Population:
Medically complex and chronically critically ill patients
Ventilator-dependent and tracheostomy patients
Patients with complex infections, wounds, and multi-organ conditions
Post-surgical and post-ICU recovery patients

Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible
Active, unrestricted Idaho medical license (or ability to obtain)
LTACH, hospitalist, or critical care experience preferred
Comfortable managing high-acuity inpatient populations
Strong teamwork and communication skills
