Inpatient & outpatient – shared call
Duties typically focus on inpatient care: admitting patients, rounding, coordinating care with specialists, discharges, and managing acute medical conditions.
Nocturnist schedules can be structured (such as 7 pm–7 am shifts with blocks of days on/off).
Hospital privileges and support from multiple specialties (e.g., cardiology, surgery, pulmonology) and telemedicine consults are available.
New graduates and visa candidates may be considered for some positions.
