We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join a collaborative hospital-based team as an Obstetrics Hospitalist. This is a permanent, direct-hire role focused on providing high-quality inpatient obstetrical care in a busy hospital environment. The position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary care team, utilize EPIC electronic medical records, and support excellent maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetrical care, including labor and delivery management
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as clinically indicated
• Manage obstetric emergencies and routine inpatient care
• Conduct daily patient rounds and clinical documentation using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesiology, pediatrics, and other specialties
• Care for an average of 13–14 patients per day
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as part of the regular schedule

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (required)
• Active California medical license or license application in progress (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications prior to start (required)
• Proven delivery experience (required)
• COVID-19 vaccination (required)
• 1–5 years of experience in a similar practice setting (preferred)
• Fellowship training not required
• Must be eligible to work permanent schedules without concurrent employment

Working Hours

• 24-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• 5 to 6 shifts per month
• Weekends and holidays included as part of the regular schedule
• No on-call responsibilities

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment in obstetrical care
• Proficiency in vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Ability to manage high-acuity obstetric cases
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Competency with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
