365 Healthcare is seeking a LOCUM OB/GYN Hospitalist to provide inpatient obstetric coverage at a high-volume OBED in Des Moines, Iowa. This assignment is focused exclusively on obstetric care with no gynecology responsibilities and offers a competitive hourly rate of $290, along with lodging and travel coverage, rental car or mileage reimbursement, and malpractice insurance included.

Position Highlights

• OB/GYN Hospitalist coverage only

• 24-hour in-house call from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM

• Approximately 6.5 shifts per month

• Providers may not work more than two consecutive 24-hour shifts

• Weekend coverage required

• Call rooms available onsite

• EMR: Epic

Practice Details

• Inpatient obstetrics only

• Dedicated 8-bed OB Emergency Department

• No gynecology responsibilities

• Maternal Fetal Medicine available on call

• Residents present with no supervisory responsibility

• Only maternity transport team in Iowa

• Approximately 1,389 OBED visits per year

• Approximately 463 deliveries per year

• Imaging, lab, and pharmacy available onsite

Clinical Responsibilities

• OBED patient management

• Emergent obstetric cases

• Vaginal deliveries

• Cesarean sections

• Care for patients without an established OB provider

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN

• Active Iowa license strongly preferred or active IMLC with LOQ

• Ability to start ASAP with April as the target

• Clean malpractice and background history

• NPDB self-query within the past month

• Provider must not be local to the Des Moines area
