This locum tenens position is ideal for physicians with strong experience in ventilation management and inpatient care, offering a unique opportunity to work within an open ICU. The schedule allows for one to two weeks of coverage per month, with day shifts from Tuesday to Tuesday, providing flexibility tailored to your availability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care within an open ICU environment.
  • Manage non-invasive and ventilator support for adult patients.
  • Collaborate with support services including Anesthesia, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, and Radiology.
  • Maintain clear documentation of vent management case logs with the past 24 months.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
  • Required certifications: ACLS.
  • Previous experience with ventilation management (minimum 15 case logs in the last two years).
  • Strong organizational skills, particularly in managing case documentation.

Working Hours

  • Day shifts, Tuesday to Tuesday.
  • Coverage needed 1-2 weeks a month.
  • Shifts run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Skills

  • Proficient in EKG interpretation and cardiac care.
  • Experience with acute and chronic medical care.
  • Proficient in inpatient procedures, including ICU-level care.
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team effectively.
