Opportunity Overview

Baptist Health of Jacksonville is expanding and seeking a Nocturnist Physician to join a well-established hospitalist program at Baptist Medical Center Nassau in Fernandina Beach, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive, physician-led environment at a modern community hospital serving Northeast Florida’s coastal communities.

Baptist Medical Center Nassau is a 62-bed, highly advanced community hospital offering a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, including 24-hour emergency care. The hospital is nationally recognized for quality and safety and features newly renovated, state-of-the-art facilities.

What You Can Expect

• Base salary: $309,400 plus metric-based bonus

• Commencement bonus: $10,000

• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (nights)

• Patient volume: Average 15 patients per night

• Admissions: Approximately 3–5 per night

• Units: 36-bed Med/Surg unit and 8-bed AAU

• Extensive specialist support

• Physician-led, professionally managed program

• Newly renovated hospital with advanced technology

Candidate Qualifications

• MD or DO

• Board Certified or Board Eligible

• Active, unrestricted medical license

• Internal Medicine required
  Family Medicine candidates considered with 3+ years of hospitalist experience

• ACLS required (training available if needed)

• Interest in developing procedural skills
  Training provided for intubation, moderate sedation, central lines, chest tubes, and thoracentesis

• DEA license required
