Hospital Medicine Medical Director – Southern California (Coastal Community)
We’re seeking a Board-Certified IM or FM physician with hospital medicine leadership experience to step into a Medical Director role at a community-focused hospital program. This opportunity offers meaningful leadership responsibility, dedicated administrative time, and a sustainable clinical schedule.
Highlights
- Lead a well-established team of 23 physicians and 2 NPs
- Collaborative environment with associate medical directors and hospital leadership
- Open ICU (no procedures required)
- Oversight of two hospitals, including acute and rehab services
- Program recognized with an “A” Leapfrog Safety Grade
Schedule
- 7-on / 7-off or flexible scheduling
- 12-hour shifts
- Dedicated administrative days
Compensation & Benefits
- $300K–$345K base + administrative stipend
- Full benefits package, 401(k) with match, paid malpractice with tail, and CME allowance
