Join Our Team as a Hospitalist - Pediatrics

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Pediatric Hospitalist to join our esteemed medical team. In this pivotal role, you will provide exceptional inpatient care to pediatric patients from birth through age 21, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate treatment in a dynamic hospital setting. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of children and young adults while working within a supportive clinical environment.

Required Skills:
  • Board certification in Pediatrics
  • Valid active license in Washington State
  • Proven experience in pediatric hospital medicine
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage acute and complex cases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Flexible schedule with a commitment to a minimum of 7 shifts per month, including at least two night shifts
  • Ability to handle a diverse patient population (ages 0-21)

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Subspecialty expertise in pediatric care (e.g., pediatric cardiology, neurology, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a hospitalist or inpatient setting
  • Familiarity with wrap-around consult support for specialties
  • Experience working in a busy, high-volume hospital environment
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a pediatric residency program
  • Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hospital-based pediatric care experience

Other Requirements:
  • Able to work scheduled shifts including nights
  • Willingness to see patients across a broad range of subspecialties (30+ available for consult support)
  • Willing to start as early as February/March 2025
  • Have a clean professional history with no significant disciplinary actions
  • Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care

Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (Note: This appears to be a placeholder; competitive compensation is offered based on experience and qualifications.)
