PATIENT INFORMATION

- Admissions: 78 per day
- Discharges: Approximately 5 per day
- Case Mix: General Hospitalist with ICU co-management as needed
FACILITY INFORMATION

- Support Staff: Full hospital staff with ICU team available
- EMR System: Cerner PROCEDURES & SKILLS REQUIRED
- EKG interpretation
- Conscious and deep sedation
- Non-invasive ventilation management
- Ventilation management (acute and chronic)
- Intubation (ENT/INT)
- Chest tube placement
- Central line placement
- Arterial line placement
- PA catheter placement
- PICC line placement ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Responds to codes
- Must be prepared to step in and provide follow-up care as needed
- Will co-manage ICU patients with intensivist when required
- Primarily responsible for admissions and follow-up on own patients
- Patients handed off to nocturnist; daytime rounding hospitalists resume care

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Active MO medical license
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- BLS and ACLS required
