Job Opportunity: OB Hospitalist in Forth Worth, TX

Join our team as a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB Hospitalist at a leading healthcare facility in Forth Worth, Texas! Our facility serves over 50,000 patients each year, making it a crucial part of the community in North Fort Worth, Haslet, Justin, Roanoke, and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full-time commitment of 7.5 24-hour shifts per month; part-time options available with a minimum of 5.5 shifts/month.
  • Handle an annual delivery volume of 1,924, including 96 vaginal and C-section deliveries performed by hospitalists.
  • Manage a C-section rate of 40% within the delivery caseload.
  • Oversee 2,296 unscheduled outpatient OB/GYN triage visits annually.
  • Conduct approximately 1,229 OBED consults each year.
  • Collaborate with in-house neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a Level II NICU setting.
  • Work alongside maternal-fetal medicine specialists to manage high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform various tasks including OB triage, admissions, attending deliveries, and providing inpatient care.
  • Provide care for unassigned patients and assist with private call coverage.
  • Cover the OB floor and respond to GYN emergency consults.
  • Assist in surgical procedures during Cesarean sections.
  • Respond to emergencies in the labor and delivery unit.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN (within 5 years of residency) - [REQUIRED]
  • Active Texas medical license (or in the process of obtaining) - [REQUIRED]
  • Clean malpractice and license history - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
  • Interest in full-time or part-time employment - [REQUIRED]
  • DEA registration must be obtained prior to start - [REQUIRED]

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active TX medical license (or in process) - [REQUIRED]
