Join Our Team as an OB Hospitalist in Fort Worth, TX!
Seeking an additional Board Certified or Board Eligible OB Hospitalist to join a dynamic team at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance. This facility serves more than 50,000 patients each year and is an integral part of the North Fort Worth community, including Haslet, Justin, and Roanoke. Job Responsibilities:
- Full-time commitment of 7.5 24-hour shifts per month (flexible for part-time with benefits).
- Manage an annual delivery volume of 1,924, with a focus on 96 vaginal and C-section deliveries performed by hospitalists.
- Oversee a 40% C-section rate and handle 2,296 unscheduled outpatient OB/GYN triage visits annually.
- Conduct approximately 1,229 OBED consultations each year.
- Collaborate with in-house neonatologists and neonatal nurse practitioners in a Level II NICU setting.
- Work alongside maternal-fetal medicine specialists to manage high-risk pregnancies.
- Perform OB triage, admissions, attend deliveries, and provide inpatient care.
- Assist with private call coverage and care for unassigned patients.
- Provide coverage for the OB floor and ER consults for GYN emergencies.
- Assist in surgical procedures during Cesarean sections and respond to emergencies in the labor and delivery unit.
Qualifications:
- Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN.
- Possession of an active Texas medical license (or in process).
- Clean malpractice and license history (highly preferred).
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) required at presentation.
- Interest in either full-time or part-time employment.
- DEA must be obtained prior to start.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Texas medical license.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB/GYN.
- Current DEA registration (required before starting).
