Exciting Locum-to-Perm opportunity for an experienced OB Hospitalist to provide 24-hour in-house coverage in a high-volume maternity service. This role offers a clear pathway to permanent placement, strong specialist support, and the chance to work with Iowa’s only maternity transport team.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage OBED patients and obstetric emergencies
• Perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Care for patients without a primary OB/GYN
• Provide 24-hour in-house hospitalist coverage
• Collaborate with MFM, nursing staff, and care teams
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
• No GYN responsibilities
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN – Required
• Active Iowa license or IMLC – Required
• Strong inpatient obstetrics experience
• Clean malpractice and background history
• Must be seeking a permanent opportunity
Working Hours
• 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• 6.5 shifts per month
• In-house call (call rooms provided)
• Includes weekends
