Job Title: Locum to Perm - OB/GYN Hospitalist
Facility Overview:
MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Locum to Perm OB/GYN Hospitalist to commence on January 1, 2026. This robust medical center is renowned for its comprehensive care and is situated in the vibrant city of Des Moines, Iowa. With an emphasis on providing top-tier inpatient services, the facility boasts the only maternity transport team in the state, ensuring that patients receive exemplary care in all scenarios.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage OBED patients requiring care
- Provide care for emergent patients including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Attend to patients without a primary OB/GYN
- Collaborate with the maternity transport team as needed
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN [REQUIRED] (truly board eligible candidates may be accepted)
- Active Iowa License or Active IMLC [REQUIRED] (LOQ must be uploaded at the time of name clear)
- Clean malpractice and background history [REQUIRED]
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in OB/GYN
- Active state license or IMLC
- Valid malpractice insurance
