Required Skills:
- Proven experience in pediatric hospital medicine or related pediatric inpatient care
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage complex cases with a high degree of professionalism and compassion
- Proficiency in pediatric documentation and familiarity with hospital protocols
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with CLIA-waived point-of-care testing
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Residency or fellowship training in Pediatrics
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric hospitalist experience preferred
Other Requirements:
- Valid medical licensure and board certification in Pediatrics
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including rotating call, weekends, and holidays
- Documentation of all overtime and callback hours on timesheets
- Must be comfortable with newborn care and managing multiple inpatient responsibilities
