Community hospital in the Finger Lakes region of New York is seeking a Medical Director of Hospitalist services to provide leadership to the program. This role is designed for a physician who is passionate about inpatient medicine, engaging in patient care, and mentoring providers. Oversee the hospitalist service: staffing models, coverage, scheduling, service-line metrics. Develop, implement and monitor clinical protocols, best practices, and quality improvement initiatives in the inpatient setting. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation and hospital policy standards. Participate in meetings, committees, and service-line strategic planning; report metrics and improvement opportunities. Promote physician engagement, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement.. Maintain an active inpatient practice as a hospitalist. Must be board certified in Internal Medicine (with hospitalist experience).. Significant inpatient hospitalist experience: prior leadership/administrative experience preferred.. EMR Epic. Clinical commitment: 7AM -7PM/mid-shift 3PM-3AM. Census 20-25 patients per day. Closed ICU, No procedures, (step down unit).
