Required Skills
- MD or DO degree with active physician licensure in Virginia or ability to obtain
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) or Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)
- Proven experience in obstetric inpatient care, labor and delivery, and emergency obstetric procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Properly credentialed and in compliance with hospital policies and protocols
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with electronic medical records systems (EMR)
- Ability to perform interventions such as cesarean deliveries and emergency procedures
- Bilingual capabilities or additional language skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of recent obstetric hospitalist or inpatient obstetric experience
- Valid DEA and state medical license in good standing
Other Requirements
- Valid medical licensure and board certification in obstetrics or gynecology
- Ability to work weekends, specifically on a scheduled weekend shift basis
- Travel, licensure, certification, and related reimbursements applicable as per policy
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting
