Job Title: Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist North Chesapeake, VA

Required Skills:
  • Valid medical license to practice in Virginia
  • Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Proven experience in obstetric inpatient care, including deliveries, labor management, and postpartum care
  • Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Exceptional documentation and adherence to hospital protocols

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience as a hospitalist or in a locum tenens setting
  • Skilled in emergency obstetric procedures
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus but not required

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of obstetric inpatient experience
  • Previous locum or temporary assignments preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to start on December 30, 2025
  • Proof of current certifications, including ACLS and BLS
  • Willingness to travel and stay on-site as needed
  • Compliance with all hospital and state regulations

Hourly Pay Rate: $214.50
