Required Skills
  • MD or DO degree with active physician licensure in Virginia or ability to obtain
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) or Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM)
  • Proven experience in obstetric inpatient care, labor and delivery, and emergency obstetric procedures
  • Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
  • Properly credentialed and in compliance with hospital policies and protocols

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems (EMR)
  • Ability to perform interventions such as cesarean deliveries and emergency procedures
  • Bilingual capabilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of recent obstetric hospitalist or inpatient obstetric experience
  • Valid DEA and state medical license in good standing

Other Requirements
  • Valid medical licensure and board certification in obstetrics or gynecology
  • Ability to work weekends, specifically on a scheduled weekend shift basis
  • Travel, licensure, certification, and related reimbursements applicable as per policy
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting
