Required Skills:
- Valid medical license to practice in Virginia
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven experience in obstetric inpatient care, including deliveries, labor management, and postpartum care
- Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Exceptional documentation and adherence to hospital protocols
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience as a hospitalist or in a locum tenens setting
- Skilled in emergency obstetric procedures
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus but not required
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- At least 2 years of obstetric inpatient experience
- Previous locum or temporary assignments preferred
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on December 30, 2025
- Proof of current certifications, including ACLS and BLS
- Willingness to travel and stay on-site as needed
- Compliance with all hospital and state regulations
