Medical Director of Hospital Medicine Opening in Syracuse, New York A highly motivated and experienced Medical Director of Hospital Medicine is needed to lead a hospitalist program at a respected, community-focused health system in Syracuse, New York. This full-time leadership role oversees inpatient care delivery and operational excellence within the hospital medicine department. About the Opportunity This position offers the ability to lead a strong clinical team in a mission-driven organization with no weekends or on-call requirements. Position Highlights -Lead and manage the hospital medicine team in a full-time day shift leadership role -Provide oversight for inpatient care, performance metrics, and quality initiatives -Collaborate with administrative and clinical leadership to implement best practices -Maintain focus on quality, safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance -Guide recruitment, retention, and onboarding for hospitalist providers -EPIC EMR for documentation and workflow -Work approximately 40–50 hours per week, Monday–Friday -No weekends -No on-call responsibilities Candidate Parameters -Experience required; not accepting fresh graduates -Board Certified or Board Eligible (must become BC within 2 years) -Not accepting locums candidates -Not accepting visa candidates Compensation and Benefits -Annual salary: $325,000–$350,000 (based on experience) -$25,000 sign-on bonus -Health, dental, and vision insurance -Life insurance -Short-term and long-term disability options -Retirement programs -Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for healthcare and dependent care -PTO/vacation and sick time -CME allowance -Employee Assistance Program (EAP) -Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer
