### Medical Director – Hospital Medicine – Syracuse, NY
Location: Syracuse, NY – Central New York Region
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
### Overview:
A respected community-focused hospital system in Central New York is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Director of Hospital Medicine to lead its dynamic inpatient team. This full-time leadership position provides an opportunity to oversee hospital medicine operations in a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on quality, safety, and excellence.
* Full-time, day-shift leadership role
* Schedule: Monday – Friday, approximately 40–50 hours per week
* No weekends or on-call responsibilities
* Practice Setting: Inpatient

### Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Hospital Medicine team to ensure high-quality inpatient care
* Oversee performance metrics, workflow optimization, and compliance with standards
* Collaborate closely with administrative and clinical leaders to implement evidence-based best practices
* Enhance quality, safety, and operational efficiency of hospitalist services
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of hospital medicine providers
* Serve as a clinical leader fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

### Requirements:
* Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
* Active New York medical license or willingness to obtain
* Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting (required)
* Clean malpractice and licensure history
* DEA, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
* Not accepting locums or visa candidates

### Compensation and Benefits:
* Annual Salary: $325,000 – $350,000 (commensurate with experience)
