Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Full-time day shift, approximately 40-50 hours per week, Monday through Friday. No weekends and no on-call responsibilities.
- Job Setting: Medical Director of Hospital Medicine role at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, a member of Trinity Health, located in Syracuse, New York
- Types of Cases: Lead and manage the Hospital Medicine team, provide oversight and guidance to inpatient care delivery and performance metrics, collaborate with administrative and clinical teams to implement best practices, maintain and enhance quality, safety, and efficiency of hospitalist services, ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital protocols, support recruitment, retention, and training efforts within the department
- Credentialing: Use Epic EMR for documentation and workflow
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Candidates with experience who are either Board Certified or close to being certified (within 2 years), but NOT brand new graduates fresh out of training. Experience is REQUIRED, will not accept fresh graduates.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, DEA
- Licensure: NY Medical License or willingness to obtain. Not accepting Visa Candidates.
- Experience: At least 2 years in leadership role. Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting. At least 2 years in leadership role in acute care highly preferred. Clean malpractice and license history.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive Annual Salary of $325,000-$350,000 (based on experience)
