Are you a dedicated, board-certified Pediatrician seeking flexible, impactful work with a reputable healthcare provider? We are actively recruiting a Pediatric Hospitalist for a locum to deliver exceptional newborn and pediatric care in Athens, Ohio. Compensation for this position is an hourly rate of $159.90, with shifts spanning varied 24-hour periods, including rounding and offsite call responsibilities.
In this role, you will directly care for newborns in the nursery supported by Neonatologists, conduct pediatric consults, and perform circumcisions. You will work closely with pediatric hospitalists and neonatologists, participating in quality improvement initiatives and sharing expertise within a broad Pediatrix provider network. Your efforts will ensure comprehensive, high-quality care for your young patients while contributing to clinical excellence and teamwork.

Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Pediatrics (MD or DO)
- Active Ohio medical license or eligibility
- Proven experience in pediatric hospitalist or nursery care
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work 24-hour shifts independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with NICU support or neonatal intensive care
- Prior involvement in quality improvement projects or clinical research
- Skills in pediatric procedures such as circumcisions
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO with pediatric hospitalist experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric inpatient settings
Other Requirements:
- Ability to participate in varied shifts, including holidays, with additional compensation
- Willingness to work in an offsite call capacity during 24-hour shifts
- Certification in Pediatric Cardiology or other specialties is a plus but not mandatory
- Must hold or be eligible for Ohio medical licensure
