Overview
This exciting locum opportunity is based at a well-established OB Hospitalist Program in Fort Worth, serving a vibrant community with state-of-the-art facilities and excellent administrative support. As part of our team, you will deliver high-quality inpatient obstetric care, including triage, admissions, deliveries, surgical assists, and emergency GYN consultations. This position allows you to utilize your expertise while enjoying the flexibility of varied shifts, helping to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes in a supportive environment.

Required Skills
  • Active and unrestricted Medical License in Texas or ability to obtain one
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in OB/GYN
  • Proven experience in obstetrics and hospital-based inpatient care
  • Strong clinical judgment and rapid decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to handle OB triage, admissions, deliveries, and surgical assists effectively

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with high-volume obstetric units
  • Knowledge of advanced health information technology systems (e.g., Stage 7)
  • Previous solo coverage as hospitalist in OB setting
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish or other languages

Preferred Education and Experience
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience in a high-volume setting
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
  • Active Texas Medical License or ability to obtain

Other Requirements
  • Availability for designated shifts, including night, day, and weekend hours
  • Willingness to credential 2-3 providers for coverage
  • Flexible with varied, often 24-hour shifts as scheduled
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical needs
