Required Skills
- Active and unrestricted Medical License in Texas or ability to obtain one
- Board Certification or Eligibility in OB/GYN
- Proven experience in obstetrics and hospital-based inpatient care
- Strong clinical judgment and rapid decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to handle OB triage, admissions, deliveries, and surgical assists effectively
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with high-volume obstetric units
- Knowledge of advanced health information technology systems (e.g., Stage 7)
- Previous solo coverage as hospitalist in OB setting
- Bilingual abilities in Spanish or other languages
Preferred Education and Experience
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Minimum of 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience in a high-volume setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Active Texas Medical License or ability to obtain
Other Requirements
- Availability for designated shifts, including night, day, and weekend hours
- Willingness to credential 2-3 providers for coverage
- Flexible with varied, often 24-hour shifts as scheduled
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing clinical needs
