Are you a dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist seeking a flexible, rewarding opportunity to make a difference in patient care? We are seeking skilled locum physicians to provide exceptional obstetric and gynecologic care in Athens, Ohio. This role offers a dynamic work environment where your expertise will directly enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
What You Will Do:
- Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, including triage, admissions, inpatient care, and deliveries.
- Collaborate closely with community OBs, family practice physicians, and subspecialists to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
- Engage in multidisciplinary OB critical care services and manage emergency department OB/GYN patients.
- Participate in flexible scheduling with 24-hour shifts designed to promote work-life balance.
- Utilize best practices to maintain continuity, safety, and quality of care while improving patient outcomes.
Required Skills:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN.
- Proven experience in obstetric and gynecologic inpatient care.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied shifts and support emergencies round-the-clock.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in a hospitalist model or collaborative care setting.
- Previous work in rural or community hospital environments.
- Knowledge of OB critical care protocols.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Active Ohio medical license or ability to acquire licensure promptly.
- Prior locum or hospital-based OB/GYN experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must have the necessary medical certifications, including ATLS, BLS, and ACLS.
- Ability to participate in occasional orientation or training sessions as needed.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including holidays, with additional pay incentives.
- Travel and licensure reimbursement provided when applicable.
