📋 About the Position
Position: Hospitalist (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine)
Location: New York
Employment Type: Full-Time, Employed (W2 – No Locums or 1099)
Join a dynamic and collaborative Hospital Medicine team providing exceptional inpatient care in a non-trauma hospital with strong infrastructure and 24/7 intensivist support. This is an excellent role for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible physician seeking stability, work-life balance, and career growth in a supportive clinical environment.
Job Responsibilities
Provide inpatient care on a 7 on / 7 off schedule
Round on 12–15 patients per day
Admit patients, manage rapid responses and codes
Collaborate with intensivists in an open ICU
Complete documentation using Paragon EMR
Coordinate with attending physicians and hospital staff
Work as part of a hospitalist team managing 40–50 patients collectively
No on-call duties
Qualifications
✅ Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (must be BC within 2 years)
🩸 New York medical license or willingness to obtain
💊 DEA, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
🧾 Clean malpractice and license history
🧠 Comfortable working in an open ICU with intensivist support
🕒 Open to full-time, 7 on / 7 off schedule
🚫 No visa or locum candidates accepted
Working Hours
12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
7 consecutive days on, followed by 7 days off
No on-call responsibilities
Average patient census: 12–15 per physician
