Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is actively seeking a Hospitalist (MD/DO) for an immediate start to join our dedicated daytime hospital medicine team. This is a non-academic, community-based program with strong specialty and ICU support—ideal for a physician who values collaboration, stability, and work-life balance.

Schedule: 7 on / 7 off (Day shifts)

Patient load: 18–20 patients per day rounding

Qualifications:

Inpatient services, advanced disease management/palliative care, anesthesiology, bariatric and marrow transplant support, general surgery, pharmacy, neurosurgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and vascular.

All other tertiary cases are transferred to Temple Main Campus for higher-level care.

Physical Demands:
This physician/APP role requires stamina in fast-paced healthcare: prolonged standing/walking (8-12 hrs/shift); rapid emergency movement (sprints, crowds); lifting/carrying 25-50 lbs equipment; pushing/pulling 100 lbs (beds/carts) with aid; frequent bending/stooping/kneeling for care; constant reaching/fine motor skills (suturing/IVs); occasional climbing/balancing; tolerating stressors (temps, noise, fluids, hazards) during irregular shifts/on-call/infection risks—accommodations for disabilities; varies by setting (clinic/ER).
Job Responsibilities
Provide inpatient medical management for 18–20 patients per day
Conduct daily rounds and coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and case management
Admit, evaluate, and manage adult medical patients
Respond to Rapid Response and Code Blue events with ICU/Anesthesia team assistance
Communicate with patients and families regarding care plans and progress
Collaborate with APPs and consultants to ensure timely, quality care
Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and orders
Participate in team meetings, quality initiatives, and performance improvement efforts
Work two night shifts per month as part of the schedule
Qualifications
MD or DO degree with completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
Eligible for an active Pennsylvania medical license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
Comfortable managing general inpatient cases in a non-academic setting
Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to patient care
