Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour emergency department call coverage for pediatric cases
- Conduct daily rounds on pediatric inpatients (average census of 5 patients; some beds may be used for overflow)
- Respond to admissions and manage inpatient care as needed
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Additional Information
- Active North Carolina medical license required
- Board certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Previous experience with both ED call and inpatient pediatric care strongly preferred
