• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Coverage Type: Clinical Only

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible; Night Shifts Required

PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatric Patients (via Med/Peds Hospitalists)
• Patient Volume/Census: Step-down and high-acuity inpatients
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: General Hospital Medicine; Step-down and ICU-level acuity
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center
• EMR System: Cerner
• Office Equipment Available: Standard hospitalist tools and monitoring equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Excellent specialty support
• Support Staff Available: Physicians, APPs, and nursing teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Michigan License required (unlicensed presentations not accepted)
• Board: BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• DEA: Active DEA registration required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred
• Experience: Hospitalist or Nocturnist experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: Flexible schedule; comfort managing diverse patient populations; telehealth experience not required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide nocturnist hospitalist coverage for Munson Medical Center
• Manage adult and pediatric patients collaboratively with Med/Peds hospitalists
• Respond to codes and rapid responses during assigned shifts
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care in a closed ICU and step-down unit environment
• Coordinate with specialists and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to Munson Medical Center’s policies, credentialing standards, and EMR documentation requirements
• Promote a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous quality improvement
