Perm - Hospitalist - MD/DO

Join Our Team as an Obstetrics Hospitalist in Fresno, CA!

We're excited to announce a new opportunity for a Board Certified Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician to join a dynamic medical practice in Fresno. This facility offers a supportive Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and utilizes advanced EPIC electronic medical records. You will be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient outcomes in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide expert inpatient obstetrical care in a busy hospital environment.
• Cater to approximately 13-14 patients daily across various settings (inpatient, outpatient, rounds, and clinic).
• Utilize EPIC for efficient patient documentation and care management.
• Work a schedule of 5-6 twenty-four-hour shifts each month from 7 AM to 7 AM.
• Participate in weekend shifts that follow the same schedule format as weekdays.
• Conduct an average of 4-5 deliveries per 24-hour period, with the majority being vaginal deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Assist with holiday coverage to take advantage of holiday pay premiums.
• Conduct interviews virtually via platforms like Teams or Zoom.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (required).
• Experience delivering an average number of deliveries annually (required).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications (required prior to start).
• Active California medical license or application in progress (required).
• Experience in similar practice settings preferred (1-5 years).

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications (required prior to start).
• Active California medical license or an ongoing application for licensure.
• COVID-19 vaccination compliance is mandatory.
