Job description Permanent Hospitalist Opportunity – Duluth & Virginia, Minnesota Locations:
  • Duluth, MN
  • Population: 90,000
  • Regional Service Area: 490,000
Virginia, MN (60 miles north of Duluth) Population: 9,400 Hospital Info & Practice Setting Duluth
  • Facilities:
  • 350-bed Level I Trauma Center
  • 140-bed connected multispecialty hospital
Features: Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center Cardiovascular program consistently top-ranked Connected via indoor skywalk Team Structure: 58 Physicians, 17 NP/PAs Separate day/evening teams and nocturnists Team-based model with APP collaboration Schedule: 7-on / 7-off 175 shifts = Full-Time Flexible scheduling Volumes: MD-only teams: 16–18 patients/day Shared MD/APP teams: 24–28 patients/day EMR: Epic Teaching: Inpatient teaching with Family Medicine residents Procedures: Not required ICU: Open (no vent management required) Additional: Research and clinical improvement initiatives available Virginia

Schedule: 7-on / 7-off 175 shifts = Full-Time Team Structure: 1 MD + 1 APP (Day) 1 dedicated physician (Night) Census: 14–28 (including admissions) ICU: Hospitalist-run Ventilator management required (24–48 hours max) Easy access to critical care & specialty consults (phone/telehealth) Procedures: Not required Services Available: Surgery, ENT, Ortho, OB/GYN MRI, CT, Lab Candidate Requirements
  • Board Certified/Eligible in:
  • Internal Medicine
  • OR Family Medicine (must have hospitalist experience; mentorship available)
