Position Highlights:

• 7-on/7-off block schedule, 12-hour shifts

Role Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate care for hospitalized adult patients
• Admit, round on, and discharge patients in collaboration with specialists and nursing staff
• Respond to rapid responses and collaborate with the emergency department
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation through the hospital’s EMR system
• Participate in quality initiatives and hospital committees if desired

Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Connecticut medical license (or ability to obtain)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
• Previous experience as a hospitalist preferred but not required
