Job description

Job description We are seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalists to join a dynamic team in the greater Seattle area. This role supports one of the most advanced and high-volume maternity programs in the Pacific Northwest, with a combined 8,000 annual deliveries across two campuses. The position offers opportunities for collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine, teaching residents and fellows, and supporting both high- and low-risk deliveries.

Job Responsibilities

β€’ Provide comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN hospitalist care including labor management, deliveries, and surgical assists.
β€’ Manage obstetric triage and emergency cases, including ectopic pregnancies and torsions.
β€’ Perform GYN procedures such as diagnostic laparoscopy and support emergency department consultations.
β€’ Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists and community OB providers.
β€’ Participate in academic activities, teaching OB and family medicine residents and fellows.
β€’ Ensure continuity of care while maintaining patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

β€’ Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN – REQUIRED.
β€’ Washington state medical license (or willingness to obtain) – REQUIRED.
β€’ DEA license (must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions) – REQUIRED.
β€’ OB Hospitalist work experience – PREFERRED.
β€’ Clean malpractice and license history – HIGHLY PREFERRED.
β€’ Must live locally or be willing to relocate – REQUIRED.
β€’ Not accepting Locums or visa candidates.

Working Hours

β€’ 24-hour shifts.
β€’ 6 to 8 shifts per month (including weekends).
β€’ Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.

Skills

β€’ Expertise in obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
β€’ Proficiency in inpatient obstetric triage, labor, and surgical management.
β€’ Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
β€’ Teaching and mentoring residents/fellows.
