Job description
We are seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalists to join a dynamic team in the greater Seattle area. This role supports one of the most advanced and high-volume maternity programs in the Pacific Northwest, with a combined 8,000 annual deliveries across two campuses. The position offers opportunities for collaboration with Maternal-Fetal Medicine, teaching residents and fellows, and supporting both high- and low-risk deliveries.
Job Responsibilities
β’ Manage obstetric triage and emergency cases, including ectopic pregnancies and torsions.
β’ Perform GYN procedures such as diagnostic laparoscopy and support emergency department consultations.
β’ Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists and community OB providers.
β’ Participate in academic activities, teaching OB and family medicine residents and fellows.
β’ Ensure continuity of care while maintaining patient safety and evidence-based practice.
Qualifications
β’ Washington state medical license (or willingness to obtain) β REQUIRED.
β’ DEA license (must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions) β REQUIRED.
β’ OB Hospitalist work experience β PREFERRED.
β’ Clean malpractice and license history β HIGHLY PREFERRED.
β’ Must live locally or be willing to relocate β REQUIRED.
β’ Not accepting Locums or visa candidates.
Working Hours
β’ 6 to 8 shifts per month (including weekends).
β’ Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance.
Skills
β’ Proficiency in inpatient obstetric triage, labor, and surgical management.
β’ Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
