Job description
We are seeking a locum tenens Hospitalist specializing in Oncology to provide inpatient rounding, admitting, and consulting services on the oncology and hematology units. This role involves managing inpatient cancer patients, administering medications, and collaborating with outpatient oncologists for support. The position offers day shifts with occasional weekend and on-call requirements.
Job Responsibilities
• Administer appropriate oncology and hematology medications
• Collaborate with outpatient oncologists for patient care support
• Document clinical care using EPIC EMR
• Participate in weekend coverage and on-call duties as assigned (low frequency)
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
Qualifications
• Active and unrestricted Idaho medical license (required at time of clearance)
• Current DEA, Controlled Substance Registration (CSR/CDS), and BLS certifications
• Clean malpractice and background checks
• COVID-19 vaccination required for facility access
• Preferred to be local or willing to travel with reimbursed flights and lodging
