Perm Full-Time OB/GYN Laborist
Location: Davenport, Iowa
Start Date: April 2025
An established and mission-driven health system in Davenport, IA is seeking a full-time OB/GYN Laborist to join its collaborative inpatient care team. This is a hospital-employed role supporting a high-volume labor and delivery unit and working closely with certified nurse midwives and a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) partner. Position Highlights

Schedule: 24-hour in-house shifts (approx. 6–8 shifts/month)

Call: No separate call – full-time hospitalist coverage

Volume: ~80 deliveries/month

Scope: OB triage, labor & delivery, ER consults, post-op/postpartum rounding

Model: Integrated care with CNMs, anesthesia, NICU, and OB/GYN specialists

Program Development: Help launch a 24/7 OB hospitalist model in partnership with an FQHC

Employment: Full-time only (not a locum tenens role)
Candidate Requirements

Board Certified in OB/GYN

Active IA medical license or ability to obtain

Clean malpractice history preferred

Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates (full-time roles only)
