A leading hospital in Palm Springs, California is seeking an additional Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN Hospitalist to join its well-supported inpatient women’s health team. This is a permanent, employed opportunity in a vibrant community where most people vacation. Job Responsibilities
Work alongside a second in-house OB Hospitalist 24/7 (never on shift alone)
Collaborate with MFM for consults and rounding on high-risk patients
Average of 60 deliveries/month
Support a 30-bed Level III NICU caring for newborns 23 weeks and above
Engage in academic teaching with medical students, residents, and fellows
Utilize EPIC EMR
Practice in a 387-bed tertiary care facility with Level I Trauma designation
Qualifications
Active CA medical license or ability to obtain – Required
Prior OB Hospitalist experience – Preferred
Must reside within the local area (relocation may be required) – Required
Not accepting locums or visa candidates
Working Hours
Part-time option: ~5.5 in-house 24-hour shifts/month (1560 hours/year) – still benefit-eligible
24-hour in-house coverage model (never solo)
Skills
Comfortable with high-acuity patients and surgical OB cases
Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
Ability to educate and mentor medical learners
Proficiency in EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
