A leading regional health system on the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast is seeking a Hospitalist to join a well-established and highly respected team. This position welcomes Board Certified/Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians.
Job Responsibilities
Participate in a 7-on/7-off block schedule with dedicated nocturnist coverage
Average daily census of 14–18 patients
Work with E-ICU support and open ICUs
Coordinate care with RN and Social Work Clinical Care Coordinators
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and academic efforts
Optional involvement in resident and medical student education
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Mississippi
Strong communication, collaboration, and clinical decision-making skills
Interest in teaching, research, or leadership development is a plus
Working Hours
12-hour shifts on a 7-on/7-off block schedule
Dedicated nocturnists for night coverage
On-site and remote access via EPIC EMR
Skills
Team-oriented with a focus on quality patient care
Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems
Adaptable to a fast-paced, collaborative medical environment
Interest in geriatrics or post-acute care is welcomed
