Wellsville, New York | 7 On / 7 Off | 1-Year Contract

Jones Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hospitalist to join its collaborative care team in Wellsville, NY. This opportunity offers a structured week on / week off schedule with 24-hour shifts, strong APP support, and a welcoming community hospital environment.

Position Details

• Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off

• Contract: 1-year commitment required

• Start Date: As soon as available

• Day Coverage (7a–7p): Hospitalist onsite with 12-hour APP support

• Night Coverage (7p–7a): APP remains on-site while Hospitalist is on call (must be within 20 minutes of hospital)

• Admissions: 2–4 during the day; 1–3 overnight handled by APP

• Call Volume: Not 100% predictable; APP manages majority of overnight activity

• Patient Load: 18–25 patients shared between Hospitalist and APP

• ICU: 6-bed ICU with Pulmonologist on staff

• Procedures: Not required, but helpful

• EMR: Epic

Compensation & Benefits

• Rate: $2,400–$2,500 per 24-hour shift

  • Includes: $2,100 for day coverage + $400 overnight call stipend

• Travel & Lodging: Covered

• Malpractice Insurance: Provided, including full tail coverage

Requirements

• Active New York State medical license

• Commitment to full 7 on / 7 off schedule

• Ability to manage inpatient care in a team-based model

• Comfortable with overnight call coverage (off-site)
