Job Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient care for pediatric and newborn patients
- Perform pediatric resuscitation, intubation, and lumbar punctures
- Attend to newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery
- Provide teaching and precepting for residents
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Active California medical license
- DEA certification
- Must have a clean background and be on active/current staff at a TJC-accredited facility with no restrictions on privileges
Working Hours
- 24-hour on-call shifts
- Part of the schedule includes weekends
Skills
- Expertise in pediatric critical care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care and work under the emergency conditions
- Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Cerner
