Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for pediatric and newborn patients
• Perform pediatric resuscitation, intubation, and lumbar punctures
• Attend to newborns admitted to the well-baby nursery
• Provide teaching and precepting for residents

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Active California medical license
• DEA certification
• Must have a clean background and be on active/current staff at a TJC-accredited facility with no restrictions on privileges

Working Hours

• 24-hour on-call shifts
• Part of the schedule includes weekends

Skills

• Expertise in pediatric critical care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide high-quality patient care and work under the emergency conditions
• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Cerner
