🩺 About the Role:
Join a highly reputable and well-supported OB Hospitalist program in Palm Springs, CA, offering 24-hour in-house coverage at a modern 387-bed tertiary care facility—home to the only Level I Trauma Center in Coachella Valley.
You'll never work a shift alone—2 OB Hospitalists are in-house at all times—and you’ll collaborate with top-tier MFM and neonatology teams while teaching medical students and residents.
💼 Key Responsibilities:

Attend deliveries and respond to OB triage/emergencies

Evaluate/manage laboring patients and assist in C-sections

Cover OB ER cases and provide fetal monitoring

Support a Level III NICU (newborns 23+ weeks) with 30 beds
-
Work alongside maternal-fetal medicine physicians
-
Participate in teaching opportunities with fellows and residents
🕐 Shift & Schedule Details:

24-hour in-house shifts (never solo – always 2 OBs on-site)

Full-Time: 7.5 shifts/month = 2,190 hours/year

Part-Time (Benefits Eligible): 5.5 shifts/month = 1,560 hours/year

~60 deliveries/month with strong community OB support

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of OB/GYN residency) – Required

California medical license or willingness to obtain – Required

OB Hospitalist experience – Preferred

Willing to relocate or already residing in the Palm Springs area – Required
