Medical Director--Hospital Medicine in MA Full-Time, Permanent Role Summary: Lead the Hospital Medicine team by setting high standards for patient care, improving operations, and supporting team development. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: o Oversee hospitalist schedules (Amion) and staffing. o Manage patient flow and distribution. o Handle clinical concerns and staff callouts. Leadership & Team Support: o Serve as Administrator-On-Call. o Recruit and interview providers. o Support APPs and new provider onboarding. o Address professionalism and performance issues. Quality & Safety: o Respond to incident reports. o Lead quality improvement efforts, including stroke care. Meetings & Communication: o Attend department and hospital-wide meetings. o Ensure clear communication around discharges, transfers, and patient care concerns. Schedule & Reporting: Time Split: 50% Clinical / 50% Administrative Reports To: Department Chair & CMO
