Job Title: Nocturnist - Troy, NY
Join a dynamic team at our institution in Troy, New York, as a full-time Nocturnist. This employed hospitalist group offers a supportive environment with excellent colleagues and flexible scheduling, located at the Samaritan Hospital. Our facility features a closed ICU, allowing you to focus primarily on patient care without procedural responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in a well-established, directly employed hospital medicine program.
- Manage an average daily census of 15-18 patients per physician.
- Oversee night shifts running from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on a 7 on/7 off schedule.
- Provide rapid response and code management, while ICU care is handled by dedicated ICU providers.
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers as part of the healthcare team.
- Accepts candidates who are Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
Qualifications:
- Required Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Current New York State Medical License (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA registration (or willingness to obtain).
- Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days).
- No visa support (J1 or H1B) is available for this position.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active New York Medical License.
- DEA registration.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility within the acceptable time frame.
