Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director Opportunity in Pocatello, ID

This is an exciting opportunity for a Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director at a well-established practice in Portneuf Medical Center, located in the beautiful southeast Idaho region.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care to patients in the Pediatric Unit.
• Consult with pediatric patients in the emergency department and for surgical procedures.
• Manage a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off.
• Conduct rounds in the hospital while being on call from home.
• Engage in collaboration and consultation with a sister program 30 minutes away at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
• Opportunity for faculty appointment with the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics - [REQUIRED]
• Board Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine - [REQUIRED]
• ID license or IMLC compact-eligible (or willingness to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role - [REQUIRED]
• Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - [REQUIRED]
• DEA certification (required prior to start) - [REQUIRED]
• CSR/CDS certification (required prior to start) - [REQUIRED]

License and Certification Requirements:

• Board Certification in Pediatrics
• Board Certification in Pediatric Hospital Medicine
• ID License or IMLC Compact License eligibility
