Join Our Team as an OB/GYN Hospitalist in Beautiful Palm Springs, CA!

Are you a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN looking to enhance your career? We invite you to be a part of our vibrant practice at a prominent medical center in Palm Springs, known for its exceptional facilities and supportive environment.

Facility Overview: Our facility is a 387-bed tertiary acute care center and the only Level I Trauma Center in Coachella Valley, serving a vast region of over 8,000 square miles. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in a community-level III NICU, with strong support from maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology. With teaching opportunities available, you can make a lasting impact on the next generation of healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care as a full-time OB/GYN Hospitalist, with approximately 7.5 twenty-four hour shifts per month.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of 2 OB Hospitalists, providing 24/7 in-house coverage.
  • Attend deliveries, manage OB triage, and perform patient evaluations.
  • Assist in surgical procedures and provide fetal monitoring and ER coverage.
  • Engage in rounds and inpatient consultations for high-risk patients with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists.
  • Participate in training and mentoring of fellows, residents, and medical students.
  • Ensure relocation to the immediate local area if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
  • Active California medical license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Previous OB Hospitalist work experience is preferred.
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) - REQUIRED
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time based on your preference - REQUIRED
  • Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in the area - REQUIRED
  • DEA license must be obtained prior to start - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

  • California medical license
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB/GYN
  • DEA license required before commencement of employment
