OB Hospitalist Position in Athens, Ohio

We are expanding our OBGYN Hospitalist services into the state of Ohio! Join our exceptional team to collaborate and deliver optimum care for the Athens, OH area.

Job Description:

• Collaborate among hospital staff, affiliated obstetricians, family practice physicians, and subspecialists.
• Provide OB triage, admissions inpatient care, and delivery for hospitalized patients.
• Establish a 24-hour shift schedule with flexible options to create work-life balance.
• Cover obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
• Work with community OBs in a highly supportive and cohesive group.
• Implement best practices that ensure continuity, quality, and safety.
• Facilitate real-time communication with office physicians regarding triage visits, new issues, and deliveries.
• Manage OB/GYN emergency department patients.
• Not accepting Locums candidates
• Not accepting visa candidates
• Not open to commuters and/or those looking for secondary employment
• Not accepting new graduate candidates - experience required

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in OB/GYN - [REQUIRED]
• Ohio license (or willing to obtain) - [REQUIRED]
• DEA certification (to be obtained prior to start) - [REQUIRED]

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Board Certification in OB/GYN
• Valid Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain
• DEA registration prior to start date
