Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director - Athens, OH

Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
• Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists.
• Manage 24/7 on-call coverage utilizing a round and go model with call from home.
• Perform circumcisions as required.
• Provide expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department, including assessments, recommendations, and treatment plans for pediatric patients.
• Foster collaboration with Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists for enhanced patient care.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects.
• Engage in knowledge exchange with a large network of Pediatrix providers and NICUs.
• Not accepting Locums candidates.
• Not accepting visa candidates.
• Not open to commuters and/or those seeking secondary employment.
• Not accepting new graduate candidates - experience required.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics [REQUIRED]
• Ohio medical license (or willingness to obtain) [REQUIRED]
• Previous employment experience in leadership roles [PREFERRED]
• DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start) [REQUIRED]

License and Certification Requirements:

• Ohio medical license.
• Board Certification in Pediatrics.
• DEA certification prior to start date.
