Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director - Athens, OH

Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists.
• Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists.
• Manage 24/7 on-call coverage using a round-and-go model with call from home.
• Perform circumcisions as part of the Pediatric Hospitalist role.
• Offer expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate closely with Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists for coordinated patient care.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research.
• Engage in knowledge exchange with a broad network of Pediatrix providers.
• Not accepting Locums candidates.
• Not accepting visa candidates.
• Not open to commuters or those seeking secondary employment.
• Experience required; not accepting new graduate candidates.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified in Pediatrics.
• Active Ohio medical license (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in leadership roles preferred.
• DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
