Perm - Pediatrics: Hospitalist - MD/DO

Job Title: Pediatric Hospitalist - Permanent Position in Las Vegas, NV

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician to join an esteemed practice at Sunrise Children’s Hospital, the largest and most comprehensive NICU and PICU in the state. This facility is committed to providing exceptional care in a vibrant city that offers a multitude of opportunities to live, work, and play!

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient hospitalist care for pediatric patients, with at least 1 year of current experience.
• Rotate through varied shifts, including a combination of in-house and call from home.
• Work as part of a dedicated team of 8 Pediatric Hospitalists.
• Manage an average daily census of 25-30 patients on a 46-bed pediatric floor.
• Collaborate with pediatric intensivists in the 24-bed PICU and 14-bed CVICU, as well as pediatric emergency medicine physicians in the 30-bed pediatric ER.
• Participate in academic affiliations and mentoring with residents from the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
• Utilize comprehensive pediatric sub-specialty support for enhanced patient care.
• Engage in a full-time, permanent role that may include local residency.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (truly Board Eligible within 5 years).
• At least 1 year of inpatient hospitalist work experience, with valid case logs from a hospital setting.
• Clean malpractice/license history is highly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse medical team.
• Willingness to relocate or be in commutable distance from the facility.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Nevada Medical License (or willingness to obtain one).
• DEA and CSR/CDS must be obtained prior to start.
• No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
