Job Opportunity: Pediatric Hospitalist

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatrician to join our practice at a premier children's hospital located in Las Vegas, NV. This state-of-the-art facility boasts the largest and most comprehensive NICU and PICU in Nevada. Join a dynamic practice in a location that offers countless opportunities to live, work, and play!

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional inpatient care as a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist.
• Maintain a varied schedule with a combination of in-house shifts and calls from home.
• Collaborate effectively with a team of 8 Pediatric Hospitalists.
• Manage patient care on a 46-bed pediatric floor with an average daily census of 25-30 patients.
• Engage with affiliated pediatric intensivists in the PICU and CVICU for comprehensive patient support.
• Participate in an academic affiliation with the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
• Benefit from a broad range of pediatric sub-specialty support.
• Contribute to the only dedicated tertiary-care children’s facility in the state with a level II Trauma Center.
• Mentor pediatric and family practice residents during their rotations.
• Maintain productivity by ensuring quality care and documentation standards are met.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician, truly eligible within 5 years.
• At least 1 year of current inpatient Hospitalist work experience.
• Ability to provide 12 months' worth of case logs from a hospital setting during the interview.
• Clean malpractice/license history (highly preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active Nevada Medical License or willingness to obtain.
• Board Certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.
• DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
• CSR/CDS (must be obtained prior to start).
• Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (active within 30 days).
