Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Visalia, CA

Required Skills:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Current and unrestricted Medical License in California
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Proven experience managing labor and delivery in a hospital setting
  • Ability to handle emergent gynecological cases
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • Comfortable working within a team-based, pseudo laborist model

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Level III NICU cases
  • Familiarity with community-based hospital settings
  • Experience working with residency programs, particularly Family Medicine
  • Knowledge of hospital emergency protocols and OB/GYN call schedules

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Completion of a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Prior locum or permanent hospitalist experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of obstetric inpatient care experience

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to start on 12/31/2025
  • Willingness to work in a level III NICU environment
  • In-house anesthesia coverage provided 24/7
  • No outpatient responsibilities; clinic duties not required
  • Must be able to manage emergent gynecological cases as needed
  • Travel and licensure reimbursement where applicable
