Necessary Skills:
- MD or DO degree with an active, unrestricted medical license in Texas
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or Family Medicine with OBerm Specialty
- Proven experience in obstetric hospitalist services, including labor and delivery management
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and emergency management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Prior work in a hospitalist or inpatient obstetric setting
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certifications
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an OB Hospitalist or in a similar inpatient obstetric role
- Current Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure
Other Requirements:
- Must hold or be eligible for appropriate hospital privileges in Houston
- Availability to start on 12/31/2025
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
- Travel and licensure reimbursement eligibility
