Hospitalist Opening in Fort Wayne, IN Seeking a Hospitalist (IM/FM) physician to join our team. * Employed * Full-time * Our physicians work 12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm. * Weekday intensivist coverage, and hospitalists round in the ICU on weekends. * Code coverage and night telephone call required. * Hospitalists do not perform procedures. * 17-20 patient encounters per day (admissions & rounding) * Average census of 16 * 131 hospital beds * 1 rounding day physician (7 a.m. - 7 p.m.) plus one APC * 7 on / 7 off block schedule * Nights covered by APC. Daytime hospitalist takes night telephone call * ICU beds covered by intensivists M-F; Hospitalist team covers nights and weekends * Rapids & codes required * Vent management required * Cerner EMR * Board certified or eligible required.
